Use choose to indicate to the user they need to make a selection, be it in sentences, placeholder copy or CTAs.

Be specific about what they need to choose: “Choose a role,” “Choose an access level.” If not possible, default to “Choose an option.”

Use for links or tertiary buttons to indicate we’ll show all of something after clicking. We use “view” to place the action in the user’s perspective: we (HB) do the showing, but the user does the viewing.

Used as title and CTA as well as in sentences. Used to refer to the action of starting the payroll run (transforming timesheets into payable hours, OT, etc.).

Use to refer to any and all team members, regardless of tax status and/or access levels, in those cases where tax status or access levels is not relevant.

Use “seasonal business” for businesses that only pay employees a few months out of the year, are only open a few months out of the year, and/or have high and low seasons.

However, always add clarification about which type of seasonal business you mean (or if you mean all) so that the user can understand if this applies to their business.
